Stan B Yombo
Founder of Congo News Channel.net

Stan Bakabila Yombo is the founder of CNC-Congo news Channel. Born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Yombo started working with a satirical news paper called "Le Grognon". He moved to the United Stated of America to run away from a dictatorship Regime ran by Dictator president Mobutu Sese Seko. His country was than called Zaire. He felt in love with California particularly the City of Los Angeles where he can pursue his passion in entertainment and business.

He realized that neither American citizens nor Congolese living in American were receiving ample news about the Congo, he decide to create a news letter called “Yombo Times”. In 1997, when his country changed name from Zaire to Democratic republic of Congo, he created a website called “Debout Congolais.com(Rise Congolese)”to give updates about the new regime. With the coming of internet broadcast, he created CNC-Congonewschannel.net to adopt a Television format that will allow him to talk directly to listeners in the U.S. and around the world.

CNC has influenced a lot of young Congolese to broadcast themselves online sharing news about the DRC.

Stan B Yombo is an active Member of the Congolese community of Southern California and he has received several Certificates of Honor from the City of Los Angeles, Senator McCaine, and Senator John Kerry for his work with the community.
